The Johnson County Public Library is thrilled to welcome our next Authors at JCPL guest, Dorothea Benton Frank, for a visit on Friday, June 8.
Dorothea is The New York Times best-selling author of 17 novels including "Sullivan's Island," "The Land of Mango Sunsets," "The Last Original Wife," "All The Single Ladies" and "Same Beach Next Year". She was born and raised on Sullivan's Island, South Carolina. Now, she divides her time between the New York area and the Lowcountry. She is an avid cook and enjoys fly-fishing, reading and traveling.
This event will begin at 7 p.m. with a cocktail hour followed by an author chat at 8 p.m. Dorothea will share about her books, past and present, and we'll get to know a little about who she is and how she writes. The first 100 JCPL cardholders to reserve seats will receive a signed copy of her new book, "By Invitation Only." Books will also be available for purchase. We hope you'll stay to meet her during the book-signing.
Dorothea's novels are perfect beach reads and she's the perfect author to join us for a cocktail hour and an author chat. Watch for our Q&A with her that appears in our Summer Library Guide available in mid-April.
