Taylor & Matt Sharp’s Wedding Day

Taylor and Matt's wedding day was the perfect blend of modern elegance and heartfelt celebration. On a cool November Saturday, surrounded by family and friends, they brought their vision of a chic and timeless day to life—right here at Garment Factory Events.
From the moment they walked through our doors, Taylor and Matt knew this was the place. They booked the venue the same day as their tour and returned for every celebration leading up to their wedding. From open houses to tasting events, they made the most of every opportunity to spend time in the space that felt like home for their love story.
Getting Ready
The day began with meaningful moments spent with their closest people. Taylor and her bridal party relaxed and pampered in the private bridal suites, creating a calm and joyful start to the day. Meanwhile, Matt and his groomsmen kicked things off with a private tasting at Haberdasher Distillery, located right behind the venue—a unique and relaxed way to toast to the big day.
An Intimate and Elegant Ceremony
Taylor and Matt exchanged vows in the Province Room, surrounded by a warm, welcoming glow. With modern, minimalist decor that highlighted the venue’s industrial charm, the ceremony felt intimate and elegant. As they walked back down the aisle as newlyweds, hand in hand, the joy on their faces said it all—it was one of Taylor’s favorite moments from the entire day.
Mingling in the Lounge
After saying “I do,” guests were welcomed into The Lounge for cocktail hour. Taylor and Matt made a point to join in on the mingling, creating some of their most cherished memories from the day. They shared drinks, hugs, and laughter with the people they love most, even getting happily “stuck” by the stairs as they greeted everyone. “I wouldn’t have changed it,” Taylor shared. “We were able to see everyone at least once!”
A Memorable Reception in the Franklin Room
Guests then transitioned to the Franklin Room for dinner and dancing—and the celebration truly came to life. The reception space reflected Taylor’s vision of “modern minimalist” decor: simple, chic touches that let the building’s natural beauty shine. One of the most memorable (and hilarious) moments of the night? Matt tossing the bouquet! The dance floor was full of joy, energy, and unforgettable memories from start to finish.
Why Garment Factory Events?
Taylor shared, “We chose to host our wedding at Garment Factory because it had the simple elegance we had in our heads. The building speaks for itself, which allowed us to keep the decor simple while still looking stunning. We loved that we were able to hold a different part of the day in separate spaces, including the cozy bar for cocktail hour. Everyone was easy to work with, and we appreciated everyone’s help!”
